The largest T. rex specimens (re-examined)
Background: Back in July 2018 I submitted a journal post where I discussed some of the physical evidence for the existence of specimens of Tyrannosaurus rex that were larger than the famous "Sue" or FMNH PR 2081. Looking back, some of the information I had was pretty good, however some of it was a bit off and a testament I think to how inexperienced of a science researcher I was back then. Well, now that I have another two years of experience under my belt I thought I'd update the post. I will be gathering information on one specimen at a time and uploading a write up each time I finish researching that specimen. So this post will start off as something very short but will continue to become longer as more information is added. The first specimen I decided to re-examine was MOR 008. The size of MOR 008: MOR 008, sometimes referred to as “Custer” was discovered in 1967 by Dr. William MacMannis in the Hell Creek Formation near Custer, Montana and includes a partially complete skull
